Amazon Media on Demand
With the help of Amazon Media On Demand, you can offer your physical CD for sale at Amazon (currently only available on the U.S. and Japanese Amazon stores). When a customer orders your CD on Amazon, it will be produced by Amazon and sent to the customer. Amazon will settle up the proceeds from your sales directly with you.
Amazon charges the following listing fees for CDs on Media on Demand:
USA: One CD $4.95 / unit, two CDs $5.95 / unit
Japan: One CD 200 YPI / unit, two CDs 250 YPI / unit
Amazon sets the following licence fee rate for CDs:
USA: +55% per sale
Japan: +25% per sale
Your revenue per unit sold is calculated as follows:
List price x licence fee percentage – listing fee = your share
Example:
($15.99 x 55%) – $4.95 = you earn $3.84
